OK, I made it!! It was a rough winter. I'm not one that is normally productive when I'm down with the winter blues, any blues for that matter...but this year was different, through friends and art, I did manage to be productive!!
My longtime friend Deb Hickey is my inspiration. Deb is a collage artist, www.debhickey.com, working with photo transfers. I've admired her work for years. A few months back I decided to take a workshop with Deb, needless to say I'm having a blast and hopefully falling into something new for my personal work...either way, I'm having a great time and that's really all that matters!
I also want to thank, my friend Diane Tarr-Smith! I couldn't have put my new website up (www.darlenedevitastudio.com) or blog together without Diane! She's a remarkable listener, perceptive and a great writer-and a huge supporter of my work...that is certainly a big PLUS!!
Lastly Deb and I are having a photo-transfer workshop in my East Boston Studio this weekend, April 25th and 26th - Sat. 12-6 Sunday 12-2p. The Workshop is SUNDAY 10-1p If you're interested email Deb @ dmhickey.com. East Boston Open Studios Website: http://eastbostonartists.org/
Until next time!
